Sensor Sensitivity Calculator

Last Updated: 02/26/2002

This form can be used to calculate the number that should be placed in the Sensitivity field in WinSDR or SDR for each sensor channel. You will need to supply the following information; output voltage of your sensor, the gain of your amplifier / filter board, number of A/D converter bits and converter input voltage range.

Sensor Type:

Velocity Sensor - Example: Geophone or Lehman

Displacement Sensor

Accelerometer

Sensor Sensitivity:

volts/cm or volts/inches or volts/g (acceleration only)

Amplifier Gain:

This is the voltage gain between the sensor and the A/D converter board.

Analog to Digital Converter Information:

A/D bits:

Maximum Input Voltage Range: or
